Welcome to the Adamawa State Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Humanitarian Services (MRRR&HS)

The Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Humanitarian Services (MRRR&HS) is dedicated to providing aid and support to individuals and communities affected by disasters in Adamawa State.

We are committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, community-based organizations, and international partners, to achieve our shared goals. Our focus is on implementing effective and sustainable solutions that address the immediate and long-term needs of disaster-affected populations.

The MRRR&HS is guided by the principles of equity, inclusivity, efficiency, transparency, and accountability. We strive to provide timely and evidence-based interventions that promote resilience, self-reliance, and sustainable development.

To build a resilient and thriving Adamawa State by:

  • Facilitating comprehensive recovery, through reconstruction rehabilitation, reintegration, and sustainable Humanitarian services for the development of disaster-affected communities
  • Promoting equity and inclusivity in all aspects of early recovery processes.

The Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Humanitarian Services (MRRR&HS) leads and coordinates integrated recovery, reintegration, and development efforts in Adamawa State. Ensure timely, effective, and evidence-based interventions that addresses the long-term needs of disaster-affected individuals, families, and communities. Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to foster resilience, promote inclusivity, and build a safer future for all.

KEY OBJECTIVES

Coordinate Recovery Efforts

Coordinate early recovery efforts among different stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations

Develop & implement Effective Plans

To develop and implement effective reconstruction, rehabilitation, reintegration, and humanitarian service plans in the short-term, medium-term, and long-term

Mobilize Resources

To mobilize and leverage resources from the state government, the federal government, international organizations, and other partners for effective early recovery response and development.

Build Capacity

To build the capacity of individuals, communities, and government agencies to manage early recovery efforts.

Our Mandate

The MRRR&HS is responsible for leading and coordinating the recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration efforts in Adamawa State. It is also responsible for providing humanitarian services to those affected by disasters. The ministry works with various stakeholders to achieve its mandate, including government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations. The ministry is committed to providing timely, effective, and evidence-based interventions to address the long-term needs of those affected by disasters.

Our Structure

The Ministry is organized into various directorates and units, each responsible for specific aspects of the ministry's mandate. These directorates and units work together to provide a coordinated and effective response to disaster recovery and humanitarian needs in Adamawa State.
